NCLB implementation continues to evolve. States are finding new ways to help students gain proficiency in core subjects. Federal and state policies change to address the "bright lines" accountability challenges of NCLB -- assessing students regularly, disaggregating data, hiring highly qualified teachers, and keeping parents informed.
